From Earthen Hands Ceramics: Wheel-thrown stoneware match-striker in red rock glaze and raw speckled clay. Raw exterior ignites a ‘strike-anywhere’ match.
How it works: Simply strike a ‘strike-anywhere’ match against the raw clay (note: match will not ignite on glazed area) and light your favorite candle or incense. Sometimes a white chalky line is left behind after striking the match: this can be removed by washing with warm soap and water.
‘Strike anywhere’ matches are the only compatible matches for this. Matches not included due to national safety shipping restrictions.
Please note that each piece is made from hand so please expect slight variations in color and size.
