Postcard from Idyllwild

Tucked away in the San Jacinto Mountains, Idyllwild is the kind of place that invites you to slow down. Surrounded by towering pines, fresh air, and that off the grid calm lies the Heather Taylor Cabin, a mountain hideaway filled with pattern, texture, and timeless treasures. Our team recently spent a weekend styling some of our most beloved pieces in this cozy retreat.

Dining setup with red chairs and a blue plaid tablecloth on a wooden deck with a forest view.

Portland Plaid and Mayfair

We styled the deck with two of our favorite plaids: Portland and Mayfair. Portland Plaid, with its deep blue and earthy green undertones set a grounded, serene table. Bunches of crisp hydrangeas and perfectly stuffed pillows complemented the set up to perfection.

Mayfair Plaid

Mayfair Plaid’s navy and hunter green hues brought a subtle richness to the space, serving as a dreamy backdrop for a farmer’s market spread. Soho Red Pillows added a charming pop and touch of coziness.

Blue Pillow Pile

Indoors, we created the ideal pillow pile up. An invitation to curl up with a good book and a cup of hot cocoa. The space featured some of our most loved blue toned beauties, Milos Beach Stripe, Pearl and Blue Pleated Petite and Katherine Plaid.

From lazy mornings spent sipping coffee to golden hour dinners on the deck, every corner of the cabin became a backdrop for the way we imagine HTH pieces to live in your home: beautiful, simple, and created to make memories. We left Idyllwild feeling inspired, rested, and reminded of the magic in small, intentional moments. We can’t wait to see how you style your pieces, don’t forget to tag us with #HTHIRL!
